My research concerns the socio-ecological credentials of basic income and its compatibility with a degrowth transition. I’m currently working on several papers, including one which examines the role of UBI in satisfying human needs, alongside the HudsonUP pilot team; a laboratory experiment which is focusing on UBI’s ability to facilitate sustainable consumption choices; and a review of degrowth compatible options for funding a UBI. I am also involved with the WorkFREE pilot project in Hyderabad.
